Capt. Stu Paterson

Bass fishing, fluke fishing, bottom fishing – ALL species! Captain Stu Paterson is a third generation fisherman from the Huntington – Northport area.

Having 25 plus years experience on the local water’s off the North Shore of Long Island you are in good hands. Capt. Stu is a licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Master Captain. Plus he is a Costa Sunglasses Pro Staffer. He is also certified for both First Aid and CPR.

Northport Charter fishes for most species in season but specializes in Bass & Fluke fishing as well as bottom fishing for Blackfish, Black Seabass and Porgy. An advocate of managing our fisheries here on the East Coast, Capt. Stu and the President of MSA have met with member’s of the NY State Assembly and the Governor’s Office in Albany to fight for and protect our local fisheries.

Our new 36′ boat

All trips are for 1–14 passengers on ‘Sashimi’

We are the perfect boat for large parties & gatherings. Sashimi is a 36 foot Calvin Beal Maine Custom built Down-Easter, built in Edgecomb, ME by the renowned boat builder Calvin Beal.

Sashimi is a full walk around down-easter which is very unique for her size…very roomy to fish! Fully equipped with top of the line equipment including GPS, Fish Finder/Depth Sounder, Radar, VHF Radio & Single side ban radio. Sashimi is powered by a 440 H.P. Yanmar single screw diesel engine. We use top of the line Daiwa & Penn rods and reels.
